Birdies For Charity Fundraiser 2025

In 2024, the Bix Museum had a great year of programming! Some highlights include: hosting Josh Duffee’s Graystone Monarchs during the Bix Birthday Bash with special guest Michael McQuaid playing Don Murray’s saxophone from our collection, handing out candy at the Quad City Symphony Orchestra’s Trick or Treat event, speaking at the National Federation of Music Clubs Conference, and hosting tours for various school and tour groups like the Windjammers.

The museum announced at the end of 2024 that work is underway to relocate the museum! Our Board of Directors has been hard at work toward finding a new home for the museum that is highly visible and away from future flooding. A location has been found, and we have been raising funds to make this a reality.

Our new location is a ground-level space in Downtown Davenport, just across the street from the current museum. This will ensure no more flooding and higher visibility for the museum in Downtown Davenport. We are slated to be open in the new space this summer. As we work hard to finish our relocation this summer, consider pledging for our 2025 Birdies campaign, which goes until July 4th!

Your gift, paid through the Birdies for Charity program, will earn an extra 5-10% for the museum. 100% of every pledge for the Bix Museum goes to us. To support us, fill out the Pledge Form or make an online donation here or at the button below. Make sure our Bird #2297 and Bix Beiderbecke Museum & World Archives is on the form you fill out so we can receive your donation. Please have all pledges delivered to the Bix Museum no later than Monday, June 30th, or directly to the Birdies for Charity office at 15623 Coaltown Rd., East Moline, IL 61244 by Friday, July 4th. Thanks to your continued support, the Bix Beiderbecke Museum & World Archives has been able to continue our mission of preserving Bix’s legacy since 2017.

Sincerely,

Nathaniel Kraft

Director/Interim President
